Phil Shrimpton’s love affair with comics started over 30 years ago. But it was in 2001, when he was still a student at Leeds University, that he started selling a few spare comics on eBay.
Once he graduated, even embarking on a career as a Scenes of Crime Officer with Sussex Police couldn’t derail his love of comics. During this time, Phil continued to pursue his passion “on the side” and even went part time. For family reasons he relocated and so had to call time on his police career, but he had an eBay business primed to go full time and so took the plunge. That was in early 2017 and he hasn't looked back since.
Phil is the true embodiment of an eBay pioneer and a worthy winner of this award. It’s one thing to sell on eBay for over 23 years, but to consistently maintain 100% positive Feedback throughout this time is testament to his ability to evolve with the eBay platform, while forging many meaningful relationships along the way.
